Welcome to Landseer-ect.com Hello and welcome to Landseer-ect.com .My name is Anja and I am the proud owner of 2 beautiful Landseer ECT named Mauritz . 5 years old , and Arthos 3 years old . I'm a member of the LandseerClub Nederland , LandseerKlub Belgium and VLD Germany .For more information about the clubs please visit their websites just by clicking on their name . Why a Landseer ECT ? Well that's a very good question . At first we wanted ( my husband ) a Newfoundlander but after searching the internet and reading all of the information about this breed we decided NOT to get a Newfoundlander. It's a common breed and we wanted a breed that was not over populated and a bit rare too. So we searched further on the internet and got to a page about the Landseer ECT. a dog who is very similar to the Newfoundlander but in lot's of ways a whole different kind of dog . We contacted one of the breeders we found on the internet for more information and also because he had puppy's .Unfortunately he had no puppy's left but gave us plenty of information .So we searched further on the internet to find other breeders .After 1/2 hour the breeder we talked to on the telephone called us back and gave us a telephone nr from another breeder called Casper Knippenborg .We gave him a rang and we went to see him the same evening .From my point of view there was an immediately click between me and Casper and most of all with Kelly and Parcyvhal the 2 most beautiful Landseer dogs and also the parents of the puppy's who then were about 3 weeks old .Both dogs had a wonderful personality , sweet funny and BIG !! hahaha but I made my decision within the second I saw them ...this was the kind of dog I really wanted !!! We had a long talk with Casper and Diane ( his sister ) and they gave the OK to let us have one of the puppy's !! Yeahhh I was so exited I could hardly wait. Later one I understood that we got lucky and that not every one is suited to have a Landseer !!So 6 weeks later we could pick up Mauritz as a 8,5 weeks old puppy . Mauritz Official Name is Julius Phyle Us Arsnouphis and was born on 23-01-2005 from a litter of 7 pups .His father is Parcyvhal Du Domaine Du Val Kurlande and his mother is Pomona Phêmê Us Arsnouphis .breeders Are Casper and Diane Knippenborg and they are located in Marieënvelde Netherlands. www.landseerect.nl. Mauritz is now a beautiful adult dog of 4 years old . We also have Arthos of Gander Lake .Arthos is the son of Mauritz from his very first mating with Marica Nox Us Arsnouphis (Mazzel )Mazzel owners are Frans and Nicolette Borst-Luk in Bergschenhoek -Netherlands Their kennel name is Of Gander Lake www.ofganderlake.nl .Arthos is born on -2-12-2006 out a litter of 9 pups Mauritz has a great personality .He's a softy, likes children but children not always like him because of his size, and likes to play with his toys especially plastic bottles . Arthos is still a young dog ., has a temperament full personality ,He is also a dog who has his ways to make sure that he can play or do things that can make you laugh .He's a bit more careful with whom he can trust but once he knows you he's gone be all over you. I have been training with both dogs as well show training as obedience .I also do shows on a national and international level. .Mauritz and Arthos both have been tested on HD-ED, Thrombopathia and each years their eyes are tested by a certified vet. Mauritz has also been tested on Cystinurie. Arthos will also be tested on Cystinurie later this year 2010 All health results can be found under show results . Our household also has a Teckel called Max , 3 cats and a bunch of Gerbils Why this site ? I know that there are several good sites about the Landseer ECT but with this site I want to chare my personal experiences.You can also find information about the breed standard of the Landeer ECT , Pictures , show results ,the pedigree of both dogs and lots of more information .
